Hello to everyone from here:

We arrived in Flores, Guatemala around noon today and have been having a great time. Most of the day was spent exploring the island, trying to figure out how to better pack our bags, and trying to figure out if you were allowed to flush your used TP down the toilet at the hotel (the answer was no - it goes in the trash).

Flores is beautiful, if a little touristy. Lots of colonial architecture, kids playing crazy games in the streets, and most important, lots of fantastic hammocks. In fact, today I watched the sunset from a hammock on the roof of the Hospedaje Dona Goya, and I have to say it was one of the prettiest I´ve seen in years.

We´ll be spending one more day here then heading to Tikal on Thursday, after which I promise to compose a far more compelling entry than this.
